Support at Home can give eligible older Australians government-funded support to remain living at home. If you want to be more involved in how that support is organised, self-management may be worth exploring.

Care Solutions Australia is a private service and is not a registered government-funded Support at Home provider.

How we can help

We can help families understand their care needs, consider self-management options, coordinate day-to-day care and identify workers who may be suitable to deliver agreed services.

Where your registered Support at Home provider agrees to a third-party arrangement, Care Solutions Australia may be able to provide staff or services through that provider. The registered provider remains responsible for approval, oversight and compliance for funded services.

Self-management may suit you if…

  • You want greater involvement in choosing who supports you.
  • You want more say over scheduling and coordination.
  • Your family is comfortable taking a more active role in care arrangements.
  • You want independent help understanding how your care is working in practice.
  • You want someone experienced to help coordinate the moving parts.
